    Carbon Fibre [Look]

Like many others waiting for their new Polo to arrive I have been looking at the international Volkswagen websites to see what other regions get access to.

I have noticed that the Australian brochure lists 'Exterior mirror caps, carbon fibre look' and the French brochure lists centre console carbon fibre options.

Has anyone purchase these or other carbon fibre look options; if so can you post photos, cost and details of where you got them?

P.S. 'It seems like the international regions get a lot more options than us [Including orange paint, but I want go into that]. Is there an international site anyone has found that deals with genuine Volkswagen Polo parts from around the world? I have been unable to locate Polo parts on the sites discussed in the other threads [I am guessing that is because the sites are US based]'

[NOTE: Subsequent to my original post I found that the Italian Volkswagen website contains a brochure which has pictures of the carbon fibre look Mirror Caps and Centre Console; it quotes the prices as €103,00 and €135,00 respectively]

3M Di Noc Vinyl is the way to go

Not sure if I spelt it right, but a quick search on google and youtube will give you a nice video of someone doing up a Mini

Could be done, and could be cheap than dealer would you for it...

That certainly looks like a quick way of getting the carbon fibre effect; not sure I would attempt it on my car [Potentially on a few wrecks first].

    3M is pretty harmless stuff

If anything, it would protect the paint and withstand the heat

U really got to use a hairdryer, squeegee, and a dustfree garage

Otherwise, get a window tint guy to do it for ya, Its easier than window tint

    NOTE, 3M is not Cheap!!!
